Password required to access networked computer

HI All
I have a home network that consists of a computer with Win 98SE and the other with Win 2000. Whenever I try to access the Win 2000 computer, there is a prompt for a password. I've never had this problem until I installed Verizons DSL and a Router to my system. Any suggestions

Create a user account on Win 2000 with the same user name and password
that you use to log onto Win 98SE.
