PASSWORD PROMPT ON BOOT UP

I recently installed Quest broadband DSL and msn 8 on my e-
machines 550. Everything works great except that now
everytime on boot up, I get a prompt to enter my network
password (this didn't happen before the DSL and MSN 8
install). The password window has "default" as the user
name and no entry for the password, and if I just hit
enter, the boot up continues without problem. How do I
get rid of this prompt on boot up?. I called MSN tech
support and they referred me to e-machines, who in turn
referred me to Windows 98 software support, who said it
would cost me $35 to talk to a support person. I would
appreciate any help on this.

Thanks,

Karl
