Password Box at Startup

Since installing DSL and an ethernet card the Networking Password box
pops-up during Windows (98se) startup. I have read several solutions for
getting rid of this - the most promising solution using TweakUI to auto
log-in but I can't find any information in the Microsoft Knowledge Base
about using TweakUI with Win98SE - I know that they discontinued it after
Win98 first edition.

The other solution was to change from "Client for Microsoft Networks" in the
network properties area to "Windows Logon". While this does get rid of the
password box I wonder if changing the Primary Network Logon to "Windows
Logon" negatively affects my network? (I have two computers connected).

This is all new to me. I appreciate any help or suggestions you can give me.

This some times happens if the network logon password is
diffrent to the users(window password). If you change the
network password for the user to be the same as the users
password for windows, this should stop this from happening.

Here's a version of Tweak UI that works on Windows 2000, NT, Me, 98SE,
98, and 95:

All peer-to-peer network functions are available using Windows Logon.

Setting the primary network logon to "Client for Microsoft Networks"
is only necessary to log onto a Windows NT, 2000, or 2003 Server
domain.

I'd use Windows Logon, not Tweak UI. It's simpler.

You should be just fine as you've set things up. This is the first
recommended step in getting rid of an unwanted logon prompt. You need do
nothing else if it worked.
