Parental Controls to block xbox connected to MN-700

I don't seem to be able to use the "Parental Controls" feature of the MN-700
router to block access from our xbox that is connected to the internal LAN.
I'm trying to establish certain hours to allow access, but the xbox seems to
alway have a connection to the xbox live network. I've tried blocking ports
1-65535 for TCP and UDP, but with no success. Does the xbox use some sort of
propriatary networking that bypasses the TCP/UDP settings on the router?

No secret proprietary networking involved.

Parental Controls only block new connections... it doesn't block already
established connections. Therein likely lies your problem
