I have a Netgear DG834GT wireless broadband and until about 6months ago
it was working fine.

Suddenly it intermittently stopped loading pages with the message 'Page
could not be found' . It appeared that the ADSL port was not being
assigned an IP address. I spoke with Netgear technical support, who
aren't very helpful, they just keep sending me the latest firmware
version which seems to work but I still have an issue.

It is now taking a longtime to load a page. The progress bar seems to
stall at about 75% then eventually it loads. Sometimes it does not load
at all. The connection is fine and the ADSL port has been assigned. It
is now driving me crazy!!!!

Anyone got any ideas? Is it definately the router? Should I get a new
one? Really stuck on this one.

Steve

Use a 'traceroute' utility to check for packet loss.
