OWA Access Problem

Since last week, I have a connection problem with the exchange server (Small
Business server 2003 with ISA 2004) from a branch office. Outlooks, which are
setup Outlook Via Internet, keep losing the connectivity intermittent. In
addition, OWA also won't work when a client loses a connection. However, the
mail server(OWA.XXXX.COM) is accessible via ping. (When I ping the mail
server from a client via the host name, IE can't even access the mail server
(OWA)). I didn't ping the IP but ping the host name, and ping got replys from
the mail server.
There is no problem accessing the mail server via OWA from a computer
outside of the branch office and the clients in the branch office are fine
connecting other web sites.
Does anyone know how it happens?
Please advise me.
Thanks for any comments in advance.

Hello Cheongseo,

The better place to ask is:
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

Hi Meinolf,

I was thinking about that, but I thought here is the right place since it is
happening from only the branch office and it works fine from other places. I
tested and it happens only from the internal network (Windows Server 2003
network) of the branch office.
However, it might be the SBS problem.
Do you think it is a SBS problem not Windows network or setting issue?

Thanks for your comment.

This sounds more like a firewall issue if it is only happening at one
location. Do you have firewalls between the branch offices?

Hi Ace,
There isn't any firewall (except the ISA 2004 on the mail server) between
the branch office and the head office.
There was no problem until last week and somehow it started last week.
I don't have the exact time when it started, but someone complained since
this morning.
And there has been no change on the servers.
BTW, it is working fine for now, but I think it will be intermittent again.

Thanks for your comment.

Cheongseo,

I cross posted this to the SBS group, as was advised earlier by Meinolf. SBS
is a different animal and some things just aren't the same with certain
things because of the way it was designed to be a one stop solution. There
was an update last week that may have caused this. When was the last time
you updated the SBS.

Ace

I cross-posted it to SBS. Cross-posting allows any replies to be sent to
both groups simultaneously, but if you like, you can directly check SBS
group. The subject in the SBS group will be "Re: OWA Access Problem."
