Hi,

Do the new D-Link wifi items and ORiNOCO PC cards have about the same radio
power output?

Any clue what total link length for these two brands (and at different
bandwidths) might be when using 24dBi grid antennas and 4 meter coax at each
end?

Does it exist a wifi antenna / coax / output = link length parameter
calculator somewhere?

tia for any hints / info

Tor

If you mean a calculator to estimate attenuation for connecting cables
(e.g. to external antennas), there is one at:
http://www.timesmicrowave.com/cgi-bin/calculate.pl

There are also some similar tables at:
http://www.therfc.com/coax.htm

Cheers...

Dave

Do you mean DWL660 and Orinoco Gold/Silver?. They have the same power output

A bigger question is which one has better receive sensitivity?

What are you nuts??? How dare you compare Orinoco with Dlink!!!! It's
like comparing a Yugo with a BMW!! Never question Orinoco.
