Hi there,

I have a user whose account is locked out the moment they launch Outlook
2003. This happened after they changed their password. Password attempts
is set to 5 so I understand why the account is being locked out but unclear
why the password looks blank!

See below from alockout.txt from the Account Lockout Tools... (As you can
see the password is being sent as "NULL" when I know that this isn't the
case.

Anyone know why winlogon.exe is using a NULL password?

Tue Mar 22 13:58:32 2005, PID: 980, Thread: 3504, Image
winlogon.exe,***WNetUseConnectionW Failed!*** (1), Local: P:, Remote:
\\bhdc\home\James.Kippenberger, Password: Password was NULL, Window Title: ,
RC was: The system detected a possible attempt to compromise security.
Please ensure that you can contact the server that authenticated you.
(1265), GLE was: The system detected a possible attempt to compromise
security. Please ensure that you can contact the server that authenticated
you. (1265)

This mapped drive is set in the user's AD profile.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave
