Hi,

I¡¦m trying to use IIS SMTP be my SMTP gateway to filter virus emails and
SPAM emails.

But I find out that after it start work, my hard disk become very busy, and
system performance is very slow.

I check the task manager and find out that my available physical memory only
10MB, but my system cache is 400MB.

Then I check what the program use the large memory, but I can¡¦t find any
problem.

Sometimes after few minutes, I check task manager again, and my available
physical memory will back to 400MB. But I also don¡¦t know when the OS give
back available physical memory.

I hope to avoid this situation, somy problem is:

Now my hardware is 80GB HD with 2MB cache, 512RamBus.

If I upgrade my harddisk to 80GB HD with 8MB cache, can I avoid this
problem?

Many thanks for your reply!

Hi David,

I would check and make sure that your IIS server is not acting as a open
relay.

Regards,

Andy
