Out of memory message

In the last couple of weeks, we have had several of our
Win98 machines get a message "Out of memory, quit some
programs" when they login to our domain. When they clear
the message they can normally login to the network.

I have looked at one machine and on successful login
windows is running with 80% free resources. Checked
msconfig file for anything unusual but found nothing.
