I appreciate that this is slightly off topic, and if someone can suggest a
better newsgroup to post to then I would be grateful.
We have a rather old HP LaserJet 4 in the office which is still going strong
and this is sitting on our network for all of the office to use. If you know
how then its possible to update the status message shown on the printer
(connect to port 9100 on the printer and send the appropriate PJL sequence),
the thing is that someone in the office has been doing this recently, and
I've then had to reset it back. Does anyone know of a way to find out who in
the office might be connecting and doing this? Its no big deal, none of the
messages have been offensive, I'd just like to identify who is cause it.
Ideas appreciated. Thanks.
