Sounds like your mate has modem in the XP machine, right ? Rather than
a router solution ????
If so ...
The PC actiing as a host to the internet, must know that it has to
'share' its internet connection.
Check the Properties -> Advanced (tab) of the DUN connection. From
there you will be able to enable (???) the connection to other hosts
on the network.
