Sounds serious seeing as they have told the customers to find a new telco.

with ( Apparently) only 2000 customers it appears it is uneconomic and they
NTL are pulling out

ooh good guess. Maybe thats it? Maybe by dialling 999 on NTL is taking them to
a different 999 region call centre and that call centre does not have the
facility to deal with Dublin area.

Perhaps they disconnected all customers prone to high blood pressure,
after scares about the potentially fatal consequences of being stuck
in a 2 hour queue to customer services and being told every 5 minutes
how important their call was to NTL.
