OT: Google Maps very slow?

For the last hour or so I've found Google Maps almost unusably slow.
Zoom in or out, or pan, and the map takes ages to refresh. Anyone able
to check it please, so that I can see if it's unique to my PC, router
or ISP (BT Broadband)?

Hmm, I'm also getting trouble accessing some regular sites...

Loads faster than greased weasel-sh*t here (South Wales, out in the sticks,
long line, currently working at 1.2 Meg).

So's mine.
There's a Ford Sierra shown in my driveway that I scrapped about 4 years
ago!
And, no people - anywhere. Has anyone noticed that?
Where have we all gone?
Conspiracy theory starts here...

The people are there, but they've noticed Google and are wearing their foil
hats.

Thanks all. Must have been a glitch either at my end or the Google
servers, because normal performance resumed a an hour or so after my
OP.

Haven't tried www.flashearth.com so look forward to trying it. How
does it compare to MS Virtual Earth / LocalLive?
