OT: Cheapest/best place to register a .co.uk domain?

Sorry this is Off Topic, but can anyone help?

I am looking to register a doamin name (.co.uk) and would like to know if
anyone recommends a good company in the UK. I don't need any webspace, but
need to be able to forward the doamin name to a site that already exists.

Ive registered many domains with 1&1, excellent prices and excellent
facilities. Its £3.98+vat for 2 years.

And, should you wish to move it later, there is NO charge and they are
quick and efficient.

As well as having excellent DNS management. I forgot to meantion to URL

I ashould also add that the only reason I left was that I'm now running
my own DNS for the domains concerned.

I'm shocked ! I run paperless here, and last time I wanted a change they
needed me to print a form and fax it to them. Maybe they are learning to
make life easier for end users, as I understand they do now (finally!)
allow DNS for .co.uk to be modified which they used to offer only for
..com/org/info domains. Peter M.

Transfer out is free on 123-reg.co.uk, ukreg.com and from memory
on just-the-name.co.uk. Transfer in is free on ukreg.com and
nameroute.co.uk (which offers some webspace + POP mail, or mail
forwarding, in their higher fee - 14 inc VAT). Peter M.

They did want that...but I have no objection to that...it was still
quick and easy as far as I was concerned.
