Hi,
I am studying network engineering and i have come across the OSI/RM and i am having difficulties in trying to interpret it.
Do any networking experts out their know enough to give me some advice on how best to interpret this.
I understand the principles of how the different layers represent the different stages of how information is sent and delivered but I am having trouble picturing it, or to compare it to something i know??
if this makes sense....
any help would be appreciated
steve

The Wikipedia page on it is pretty good:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_Model

Might be an idea to turn off HTML posting in your news client too, or
you'll look a right wally in front of your new Uni friends ;-)
