Orinoco Silver pc Card - is it broken - help

I no longer get any lights showing on my Avaya - Orinoco Silver PC card -
both in Linux and Windows. None are showing the device as present. All was
ok last night. Today - they just died. First of all I thought it was my
Linux distro - but same situ in Win Xp.

Anyone know if you can test the pcmcia card slot without a card in it to see
if thats working? As I dont have any other pc card stuff.

It is a long shot, but did you happen to set "radio off" by
accident in the Orinoco settings file?
