Orinoco AP-2000 not responding

I have an Orinoco AP-2000 access point that has a good Orinoco Gold card in
it. I know the card is good because it works in my laptop and connects to
our AP-600.
When it's on I can't detect any signal with my laptop, except of course the
AP-600. My boss says he tried to upgrade the firmware on it and put the
wrong one on.
I got a serial cable that would connect to the DB8 serial connector on it
and configured HyperTerminal to connect to it but got no response in the
HyperTerminal window when I rebooted the AP.
I've also tried the reset and reload buttons with no success. They don't
seem to do anything at all, even reboot.
I've looked at the documentation till I'm cross-eyed and can't find anything
that will help.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
AG

I once had to call their tech support (which of course is in INDIA) and they
were able to sucesufully walk me through reseting and reloading the firmware
on my AP-600 without a whole lot of hassel.

There were some communication problems, especially with the first tech I
spoke to, so I called back and got someone who spoke english MUCH better,
and knew the AP very well.

The instructions and on-line info really left MUCH to be desired, and I
don't think I really could have reset the firmware without having someone
walk me through it. The instruction are really NOT clear on how to do things
with the AP.

Orinioco REALLY needs to work on it's product documentation!

I found this PDF on one more search of their site. I'm going to try it and
see what happens.

I got it reset but it's still not broadcasting, or at least none of my
adapters can detect it. The directions in the PDF worked.

Hi.
Sorry guys, If I could remember I would definitely post the directions,
unfortunately it's been a while and I really don't remember!

If I ever have to reset and reload the firmware, I _may_ remember, but it's
doubtful - memory ain't what id used to be ;-)
So I would probably end up having to call their support line again.
