origo 8400 blocking line

As per subject, anyone had trouble with a brand new origo 8400 from ebuyer
blocking the phone line so you cannot make voice calls ?. BB works ok and
its not the filter, I swapped with another.

Sounds like a short. Have you tried a new cable (modem to BT socket)

Good point ( should know this, electronics tech, DOH!)Only trouble is I
don't think I have a spare. Oh well time to get the multimeter out.

No, its not the lead. Looks like its the router, sod it, it was delivered
late and now I have to throw myself on the mercy of ebuyers returns dept.

If you got a cheap filter there may be a wire you can snip

Already thought of that and no, its not. It kills the line even when the
router is powered off, so as I said looks like I got a duff one.
