No not mine..
A friend has one of these things and for the most part it's been ok
apart from around 6 months or so ago when her internet connection fell over.
She asked me to take a look and I couldn't see anything obviously wrong,
but we called the "help" line and they said to do a factory reset. This
we did and after re-entering the login username/password it came up
again ok.
Tuesday last week she lost her connection again, which was annoying to
say the least as she had some sales on eBay that were nearing
completion. I went to have a look on the Thursday and it was still down,
looking at the router web page it seemed to be synced ok with the
exchange but just wasn't connecting. We did another factory reset but
this time it still wouldn't connect, sometimes it was saying "PPP in
progress" for 30 minutes at a time, other times it just said "PPP server
down" or sometimes "ADSL authentication failure".
The so-called Orange "help" line was not much use (40 minutes on hold at
who knows how much per minute) so in the end I brought a spare router of
mine (AVM Fritz!Box) and plugged that in, it came up online first time.
I can only conclude there is a problem somewhere in the Livebox, does
anyone have any ideas what it might be..? She's ok for now with my spare
box but I'm curious.
