Hi there all,
over the past few weeks i have noticed when i receive a call through
my BT landline phone, my livebox resets itself by turning off the
lights and turning on again. During this procedure, i get an
interference which results in the phone call being interrupted with a
loud hiss and noises and has provided difficult to hear the caller on
the other end and vice versa. I have changed the filters, changed to
different livebox channels, moved the cordless handset base well away
from livebox...all to no effect.
Any ideas and help will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards..

You have changed the filters, but have you actually got the filters set up
correctly?

Hi there,
Yes i have them setup correctly, I had also changed them around but
problem still persisted.
I have tested another wireless router and i get the same problems, so
now i know its not the fault of my livebox now.
I read on the BT website that using a BT branded ADSL filter should
cure the interference problem.
I may try it that way just to see.
Maybe its just the fault of my non BT filter.

Most probably not.

How sure are you you actually have them set up correctly, or in an
optimum situation?

Have you tried connecting the router to the test socket in the master
socket (asuming you have the newer type) on its own with no filters or
other wiring connected. If it works then reintroduce bits 1 at a time
until it stops working again.

I have the adsl filter attached to my bt socket and the requied cables
are attached to the filter.
Also, i have tried the bt and belkin adsl filters but its still no
good.
I am now sure its not my wireless or usb modem or adsl filters.
Dunno if i will ever get to the bottom of it atall.
Only option is to turn my modems on as and when i need it and just put
up with the noise
Dunno what a test socket is though, so i may just have the old version.
