I ( and others ) have had a terrible experience with Orange. Everything is
fine until you need some help.

Prepare to wait for up to an hour for someone to take your call then....

1) They won't understand you accent
2) They will ask you to spell your name about 30 times
3) They will ask you questions that have no relevance to the nature of your
call.
4) They will tell you that their number doesn't deal with that type of
enquiry , please call this 0907 number which costs 50p per minute - but will
not last longer than 20 minutes - that's £10 a time !!! For nothing !

Orange have sadly let me down and i'm still in an 18 month contract with
them. I can't get out !

Orange have lost it lately - and worst of all - they don't care !

If they are not delivering the service they have contracted to do, you could
always take them to the small claims court.

You can get out of a contract if one side breaks it. Speak to a solicitor
who will contact Orange on your behalf and start proceedings. I hope you
have made a note of everything, all calls, who you spoke to, faults etc.
It's important to find out whether the faults are with the service or with
you and the computer first.

and it was in a separate thread, not this one... I had a "sticky" IP
when I was using them some time back - I suspect that they're still only
offering dynamic IP (and perhaps still trapping mail sent on port 25, so
even if you try to use some alternative mail service, it was trapped by
their own service... bad when theirs went down, as they gave it lower
priority, and had some unwritten rules - trying to send a party invite
to about 20 mail addresses and it went into a black hole - without a
hint of an error message... only found out it went nowhere as I had
included a spare mail address in the BCC list). I moved away, saved
cash amd got higher speeds, but if you are on an Orange contract already,
then a switch to this service might be worthwhile...
