Optimum Use of Network Cards

I've just installed a new Windows2003 Server that has dual built-in NIC
ports and an additional network card with 2 more ports. I've seen a
configuration before where one port can be set to handle all inbound traffic
and the other to handle all outbound traffic; however, I cannot remember how
to configure those settings. If anyone can point me to a link, I'd
appreciate it.

Also, with 4 NIC ports, how can I best configure my server to maximize
throughput using all 4 ports?

Thanks again.

Ross

This is called NIC Teaming. Teaming will be supported and configured in the
driver, if supported at all.

There are two aspects to adapter teaming. One is having the manufacturer
support it and provide the teaming application. The other is you need a
managed switch with teaming/agregrate/trunking capablity.
