Hello all,

When I try to start my openvpn server ir receive this error:

Mon Aug 21 07:27:30 2006 Cannot open
etc/openvpn/openvpn/keys/dh1024.pem for DH parameters:
error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory:
error:2006D080:BIO routines:BIO_new_file:no such file
Mon Aug 21 07:27:30 2006 Exiting

Has anyone else had this problem?

My server.conf file points to the correct place where the file is
located.

I successfully started the server the first time. This error happened
after I tried to restart.

I've seen some posts on this subject on other forums, but no solutions.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This looks strange

Are you /certain/ that your dh1024.pem file is found in path
/etc/openvpn/openvpn/keys
?

It looks like you either have an extra level of directory structure, or
a typo in that path. I would have expected the path to be
/etc/openvpn/keys

Nope. And I just finished installing OpenVPN (from source) not 30
minutes ago

Any idea what changed between the first and second runs? Did you edit
the config file any? gen new keys? anything?

FWIW, My OpenVPN install has paths
/etc/openvpn
and
/etc/openvpn/keys

Check - see what is in /etc/openvpn
If you don't have a directory there called openvpn (with a subdirectory
called keys), then your config file got bollixed up somehow to make the
path to the keys invalid.

HTH

Where's the leading slash in the path to the file?

etc/openvpn/openvpn/keys/dh1024.pem for DH parameters:

Sorry, bad copy and paste on my part. I must have broken something. I
removed & reinstalled and, using the same server.conf and keys
everything seems to be working fine now.
