I may be mistaken , but in that circumstance I think you would have to
install office as shared over the network for the 98 box's to work (a
networked verion of office)

this new server, and pointed the clients' Office file locations to this new
folder. When I "open a new document" on the clients, the forms open up fine
on the NT, 2000, and XP clients, but the 98 clients get an error message to
the affect that they do not have permisssion. I login as myself (Full Admin
Privledges on the server) and I get the same error. Anyone know what might
be doing this? This is common to all of my 98 clients and I have rebooted
the machines and the server and get the same results. I CAN open a
non-Office document however.
