Well that wouldn't be Linksys, they use Broadcom chip sets and they haven't
released to the public specs on how to program it nor source code which they
reputedly have. It isn't per say Linksys intention I am sure, but when
using Broadcom for 802.11g they more or less locked you into standard
commercial Microsoft only drivers from Linksys/Broadcom and nothing else.
Those drivers too, are undocumented so writing your own windoze code on them
will be a chore. That's why I no longer buy Linksys.
Best to get prizm here as source code abounds to do what you seek. Many
prizm chip bassed adapters work with Linux and the BSDs with source. It
however, as far as I know, 11b and not 11g.
I have looked at the MadWiFi (source forge) and tried it with the D-Link
AG650 with some success. Alhough I am not sure the code is featured or
polished as 801.11b prizm chip based cards are.
