Hi,
I am trying to diagnose a problem with VPN access to corporate
network. I want to ensure that my iptables based firewall/router PC
isn't causing the problem.

So, I need a rule to effectively allow everything through my iptables
router. i.e. to effectively turn off any security on that machine.
I know this is dangerous, but it's just to test the system.

The PC only has two network interfaces, and internal (static IP) and
external (dynamic IP) through the a cable modem.

Any help appreciated.

Regards

You don't say what distro you're using. If you're using a
RedHat-style distro, then, as root:
service iptables stop
stops the iptables services.

service iptables start
starts them up again.

Oh, yes sorry. I am using Slackware 10. It's a very minimal
installation as it is just used as a firewall. It runs from flash
disk.
I used the instructions from Sir Jackery to sort out my problems.

Thanks.
