Only firstly installed adapter works - no obvious solution

Have you tried Adding the Dial-up adapter under the
connections tab under Internet Exploxers Properties...
Use the connection wizard, or add it manually...

Dial up works OK.
It is no problem to get connected to a remote computer.
But then it stops. The problem is to see any web page and
winipcfg.exe does not show the IP data, except for the
firstly installed adapter. Looks like tcp/ip is the
problem.
