online gaming question

I have a speedtouch 530 router which only has one ethernet port. I purchased a
5 port switch and plugged pc's into that aswell as Xbox for online gaming.
I would like to get my PS2 online aswell but for cabling reasons I wish to use
the same ethernet cable which I do for the xbox. When I want to use it, just
unplug from one and plug into other. No problem at all.
Thing is I am wondering about how the router will handle the chnages from one
console to the other.
Will the router get confused by the changes and cause problems? Or will this be
okay because everything is going through a switch so it matters not how they are
connected?

Beck,

Your router will be fine with what you are doing.
