Brand name on the card doesn't matter nearly as much as the actual
chipset of the card. Many cheap network cards say they're FooBar cards,
but they really have an RTL8139 or NE2000 chipset on them.
What does "lspci -vv" say about the card? Which version of the kernel
are you using? ("uname -a" will tell you.) What, if anything, does
dmesg report about the card? What have you tried so far? Which version
of which distro are you using?
