Older MN-5 hardware and WPA?

Has Microsoft made any statement regarding WPA and the older hardware?

I've got a couple of MN-510's which I could use with a new (to be purchased)
MN-7xx router.

I could use the extra security of WPA, but I need to be certain what
combination of hardware will achieve that--I don't need the speed, and I'd
go with the older stuff if WPA will be available on it.

I've since found the useful comparison grid at www.microsoft.com/hardware

which gives a clear answer, even though I don't like it....

If you buy the MN-700 and do the available firmware updates, it actually has
WPA bits for the 510 and 520 client cards. Regardless of what the may be
published...

I did wonder what possible limitation would keep the cards from supporting
wpa.....

Thanks very much! That makes getting the better router worth my while--now
I have to find the sucker in stock. Buy.com says they can't get them from
Microsoft.
