the old "which wireless card" question

I'm trying to find a pci wireless card that I can buy in australia and is
supported by the atheros driver.

I've bought myself a NetGear WG311v2 card that doesn't seem to work (using
airopeek)

I did this because airopeek says that the following model is compatible.
NetGear WAG311 802.11a/g Wireless PCI Adapter

So out of fear of making the same mistake again.. can anyone give me the
models of their cards that they know works?
