I would like to upgrade my WiFi to allow for WPA encryption and am
wondering if anyone can suggest a use for my present old Netgear device
only capable of WEP.

There's a *slim* chance there's some unofficial firmware for your current
device that will support WPA. There was for a Belkin WAP I set up for someone
a few months ago.

I'll have a look around but I do change my WEP keys (using Steve's
facility)and change between all 4 regularly so think I am reasonably secure.

someone who doesnt want to bother with encryption? Hot spot maybe?
