Hello,

Here's the situation:

We had an active directory (W3K) integrated domain named "abc.com" , netbios
network name "def"
We have renamed our domain, following the procedure outlined by Microsoft
(using document: "Step-by-step Guide to implementing Domain Rename")

Our domain name is now "xyz.com", netbios name is "xyz".

When users go to network locations/all networks/microsoft network they see
both netbios names listed (DEF Ã*nd XYZ), and both lists show the same
pc's/servers and they can access shared resources via both trees. I'm under
the impression that it takes a little bit longer to load the 'old' domainlist.

If I click on the old netbios name on a domain controller, I'm getting an
error ("def is not accessible"). I have added a new client on the network,
and it too appeared in both lists, so I think this problem is not client
related.

Obvious question: how can I get rid of this old netbios network list????
