I have a laptop issue. It seems that two laptop users have difficulty when
on Wireless LAN.

For example, I'm writing this on my laptop (which is one of the two) and I
cannot see the server by hostname, I cannot browse it through My Network
Places, but if I type \\IP address\ I can see it and it's shares. If I
reboot the laptop, I will once again have connectivity with name resolution.
Even if I do an ipconfig /flushdns, I have no success.

The share that I am connected to is a DFS share, and the other servers that
are hosts for DFS referrals, it just seems to be this one server that's the
problem.
If the laptop is connected via the network cable, then I don't seem to have
the connectivity issues.

Could if be related to Standby / Resume or Hibernate / Resume, Could it be
because of the WiFi connectivity? I have run a Ping -t and have not lost any
replies. I'm just at my wits end here.

Many thanks for your replies,
Scott

I'm having this exact same problem, however I'm using an NFS share.
I've found that I can somehow refresh the connection if I synchonize
my off-line files -- poof, the contents of the NFS share return! There
must be a better fix; please let me know if discover a solution.. it's
driving me crazy too.

I find it hard to believe that we could be the only ones experiencing this
issue. ANYONE ELSE THERE THAT COULD HELP?!?!?!?!

I'm again having the issue, even if I sync files, I sometimes get the
connection back, and sometimes do not get the connection back.
