odd shareing problem

I have a domain and I make a group called "shareaccess" and put some
useraccounts in the group. Then I share a folder and give "Full Access" to
the "Shareaccess" group. The users cannot access the shared folder. Is this
normal? If I add the users to the shared folder directly it works.

Everyone | full... if I put a user in that's in the group directly it
works..

hum odd it just started working after I had to do some other work on the
server that made me to a gpupdate refresh... do securty groups only kick in
after some kind of refresh or reboot or somethign? It was about 6 hrs after
I made the group before it started working... thats kind of odd no? But
anyway it works now so that's good.
