I thought we had this working before but, now I am not use. We have
this problem on most bbut not all sbs 2003 networks we support. Most of
them that fail have a soic wall.
The main network I want to fix 1st has a standard sonicall wired
router. All of the ports needed are open is what I was told. The server
is sbs 2003. The cleints on the net are xp pro with sp2. The server and
clients I think run no foirewall But, if there os 1 can that cause the
problem? Is tis uisa firewall on by default?
We can use rww on the network from the insode with no proble, but from
outside we get:
VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected
The client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections
might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new
connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing
your connection. Please try connecting again later. If the problem
continues to occur, contact your administrator.
I read something 1 day that said that with sbs you must use a special
wasy to make clients join the domain useing the web wizard method. I
ffoud this from experts-exchange. I would liek to see this doc. It also
pointed to an ms article. We alraedy have the clients joined using the
method a lot of people use the sys properties box metjod. We would have
to reverse everything to fix. So I want to check 1 computer 1st. What
do I need to do on the server 1st?
