Okay, here's the deal. We have a wireless network running in the house
-- my fiancee's machine is a Win2K Pro box that connects to a Linksys
802.11b router. My machine is an Apple iBook (10.3) with Airport, that
also connects to the same wireless router. We use static IP numbers
inside the LAN.
The router does not use WEP or WPA or any other sort of security
measures. Nothing that would cause the MN-510 to not connect to the
router.
This setup has been flawless, until recently. For whatever reason the
MN-510 will just up and decide that it no longer wants to connect to the
router. No software or firmware updates were made to any of the
software, firmware, or hardware.
The thing is, the iBook still performs flawlessly. (I'm posting from it
now.) The MN-510/Win2k setup, however, seems to have died. We've tried
reinstalling from scratch, we've tried plugging it into other USB ports,
the whole spiel. But it still doesn't seem to want to work.
Every so often, it'll decide to work for awhile, and then crap out again.
Anyone have any ideas?
