Hi

I live in a Peverel managed "retirement flat".

The Managing company, Peverel, run some 1500 plus similar properties in
the UK.

There have been many niggles in the past, but overall the company is not
too bad.

It is, however, very expensive to live in a Peverel managed block....

Now Peverel have exceeded their remit....

In the 80 or so flats in my block owners use many phone companies....

BUT, Peverel, without consulting anyone has decreed that we MUST be
transferred for our phone service to Redwood Telecommunications.... We
will have to accept the increase in line rental, calls, etc.!

The main problem is that we will loose Broadband!!!!!!!!!!

I have had broadband for the last 10 years and dont want to go back to
dialup...

This applies to ALL of Peverels 1500 properties, some of which have
already been switched...

I'd suggest you contact your local CAB for help.

You (collectively) have an absolute "Right to Manage" which means you
can dump Peverel and appoint another management company

Laura are you saying Rex will still have his own chosen phone provider and
his own chosen Internet provider with nothing extra to pay?

Meanwhile, at the uk.telecom.broadband Job Justification Hearings, David
chose the tried and tested strategy of:

Seems fairly unambiguous to me.

A load of bull....... The managers (AKA Warden) phone will change but
none of us peasants phones.....

The notice of this change was so badly worded and easily interpreted as
ALL phones would be changed....

Why the online manager (AKA Warden?) took so much time to reply and to
reply as a news posting is beyond me!!!!

Having been here in a Peverel flat for a year I have viewed all of
Peverals informations with suspect!!!

Just out if interest, what are those letters after your name? Google doesn't
find anything suitable for them.
