I have an O2 dongle into my laptop for use in my caravan, was on a country
site this w/e and it was plain hard work using it my 2 hour plus battery was
used up and little done on the internet is this typical the slow bad service
from O2?
Are the other networks slow too?
Regards
David

All the networks have their pros and cons. I have found O2 to be variable
for speed and signal strength even here in central London. I find it best to
have an assortment of sim cards for different networks and an unlocked
dongle. Three tends to be quite good generally for me, and also Vodafone for
speed (when you can get a good signal)

Yes did have it on a longer lead than supplied and behind the plastic
windows.
Will try outside next time out. I was getting a good signal report.
Have you found if having it vertical or horizontal had any effect or are
they just omni directional?
I choose O2 as that is the network the mobile phones use and they get good
results also the dongle was half price of the normal O2 list price, even
list price is less than others.
The £15 a month appears fairly typical of them all., most annoying balance
disappearing at end of the month, something Ofcom should stop if they were
on our side.

Thanks to you and others for your replies.
Regards
David
