O2 Broadband Assistant

I recently swapped to o2 and updated my old PCI modem to the o2 wireless
box.

I used to have some reassuring flashing lights in my system tray when my
internet connection was working.

Now I have the o2 Broadband Assistant.
There seems to be no way to tell if the connection is OK without an
interrogation of Assistant which takes minutes.

I've closed Broadband Assistant, but now have nothing in my tray.

Is there a better way?

Steve

Is there no icon in the networking & diallup panel for your O2 connection?

If so, you should be able to select a system tray indicator from the
properties settings.
