Hi

seem to remember seeing a post here a few days ago where someone mentioned
calling BT to report an ADSL fault

A friend has ADSL with Virgin and he loses his connection at about 6pm every
day. Firstly complained to Virgin and they just said it was a BT fault. That
was 2 weeks ago.

It now transpires that it is a BT line fault, and BT engineers have been
spotted in the street for the last three days.

He has now found out that at least three other households have the same
problem, all on different ISPs. Virgin do not seem to be bothered about
chasing BT. I guess they take the view that they are getting there money so
who cares. BT probably are now feeding back to Virgin etc etc.

Funny thing is his Business ADSL connection with BT internet is not
effected. However they are on different number 0121 550 **** and 0121 585
**** so maybe on different switches etc.

Anyway is there a number to report / chase / complain about general ADSL
issues like this, even if your ISP is not BT. Going through Virgin is just
not resolving the issue.

Cheers

DeeBee

I'm afraid that faults with ADSL lines must go via your ISP.

If you were to report a normal voice fault direct to BT and they later found
out hat it was an "ADSL fault" they are likely to charge you.
