NTL speed increase

I've just found out that my NTL 1MB service has increased to 2MB.
Rebooted modem and the ZDNet speed test has increased from 1MB to
2.4MB. Glad they let me know (not).

Be grateful I generally get modem speeds from NTL for broadband price.
No one tells me when the speed drops.
