"The new speeds are being rolled out across the ntl cable network to
existing and new customers. Customers will receive communication in
advance of the speed increase."

So I suppose you have to wait to find out. Perhaps announced to prop
up their share price?

If its anything like the cable Co.'s in the states, they give the new
speed for three months so you get used to it, then ask you if you wish
to pay extra for the upgraded service, or wish to roll back to your
old speed.

The first hit is always free!
