NTL Limits?

Hi All,

Just wondering about NTL's download limits? I heard that they were
1Gb/month, but wasn't a true 'cap' as in it wouldn't work.. Just you got a
letter politely asking you not to use so much or it #would# be capped.

Is this right?
Are the limits the same for all NTL's speed?

Not quite. The letter is spposed to get sent if you pull more than
1Gb/day for three days consecutuvely. For example, on a 750K line you
could pull 0.999Gb for 28 days of the month, and then max out at
7.5Gb/day for the other two, and techncally be inside the limit.

However its its unenforced except for people who take the p***
outrageously.

Yes. But unless you plan downloading linux distros 24x7, you're not
likely to be worried by it.

Thanks I did want to d/l a couple of ISOs but didn't want to go over any
limit.

I downloaded about 3.2Gb worth of Linux ISOs the other day, but spread
accross, I think, 3 days (1.6Gb at a time). No problems here, although
I hate breaking T&Cs so I rarely go over the allotted transfer limits
knowingly.
