I'm tempted to say "simple, quick answer, no".
The cabling to our property brings "coax" and phone to a junction point
outside. This was wired to a uhf/vhf splitter indoors. When we had
broadband installed, they ran new wiring from the *outdoor* junction
point. OTOH maybe that was just because of the geography of the
installation, and not a fundamental need.
