Hello every one, looking to have NTL broadband put in, just moved house
& always used cable, don't want/don't need a phone line!

In the new house there is an NTL white box, with a TV/FM splitter in.
Do they use this box or will they have to install another one? Caus
there's no chance of that at the moment, its a top floor flat so they
can't run another cable up here without alot of hard work!

Could they use the existing cable and replace the TV/FM splitter?

Many thanks!!!

Simple, quick answer yes (AIR they don't need to change the splitter)

EXCELLENT, though bulldog and BE did sound tempting, the £40odd price
tag didn't!

And your positive about this.... I've used NTL for the past 3 years and
never even thought to look at the boxes they used, never had a new
install, they always used existing boxes so i was quietly confident
lol!

I'm tempted to say "simple, quick answer, no".

The cabling to our property brings "coax" and phone to a junction point
outside. This was wired to a uhf/vhf splitter indoors. When we had
broadband installed, they ran new wiring from the *outdoor* junction
point. OTOH maybe that was just because of the geography of the
installation, and not a fundamental need.
