Hi all,

A mate has been on NTL for a while (like me) and recently had his NTL
emal accounts 'currupted'?

NTL c/s say they cant fix it, won't give him his master account
password etc etc?

He didn't mention any displutes re payment or anything (but you never
knw).

Any thoughts please .. anyone know what system NTL use for it's mail
servers .. could *anything* be possible re a cure if they were
interested ..?

All the best ..

T i m

I have a few ntlworld email accounts and quite often one or two will not
work but I just ignore them and usually they are working again within 24
hours.

Been getting that off & on sending to several NTL email accounts. They
normally come back after a time but it has ranged from minutes to days..

Exim 4.46. What do you mean by 'corrupted' ? I've never known EXIM to
'corrupt' accounts, as it were. In fact, it's a damn reliable MTA -
unless you use the package maintainers version, heh

Searching on Cable Forum I found

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/article/...rus-protection

Following That link, takes you to.

http://www.openwave.com/us/news_room...v_ntl_0427.htm

Searching on that link for NTL reveals the following, which is the answer
to you your question.

http://www.openwave.com/us/news_room...v_ntl_0115.htm

Hope that helps.

Ok, well I undersand the spirit if not the detail so thanks ;-)

So, someone at NTL could run the admit util on this and 'reset / purge
/ create' email accounts then?

All the best ..

Thanks for that fella ..

What they have done above does seem to have made a big difference to
the ammount of $hite that used to flow though *my* junk filter every
day.

I can't remember the last time Avast! alerted me to an incoming virus
either ;-)

All the best ..

I think if you are experiencing 'corruption' of e-mails then you should
e-mail (E-Mail Removed) very quickly. This will be read by a
very technical, UNIX, chappie who will actually know their job. A lot
better than speaking to a phone monkey at NTL support (THOUGH, NTLs
technical team were EXTREMELY good when they were in Swansea, but alas
they are no more).

Let us know how you get on.
