Thank you David, even tho' that was not what I wanted to hear! IIUC
this means that I could use the DG834G as a wireless access point which
would give one wireless PC access to the facilities offered by the NTL
modem.
What I had not understood, and what I think your answer implies, is
that the WAN port on a router is different from the rest of the ports
and if (as in this case) the WAN port is dedicated to ADSL then none of
the other ports can be configured as WAN ports.
Thus the DG834G will pass though to another LAN or other ethernet
connection but not support a WAN connection. Is my interpretation
correct?
