I was wondering why?

10mb is also going down to £34.99 in January, Broadband Plus is also now (or
becoming free).

Are existing 1MB (formerly 300K) customers being rolled out at the same
time (i.e. geographically) or are the higher speed customers being
upgraded first?

For the last "automatic" upgrade ISTR having to reboot the modem.

For all ntl customers, or just the 3mb/10mb lot?

Nope - gradually over the next year or so - the 3Mb customers are thr
first batch.

All new customers will automatically be put onto the 10MB service. All 3MB
users will be upgraded frist, followed by 2MB, and then finally 1MB
customers. However NTL have said the planned upgrade will take a year. So
if your on the 1MB service, it could in theory take a full year to get
upgraded.

Also note all those of you with the silver ntl:100 modem, will need a new
modem (should be the ntl:250 modem) to get the full 10MB download speed.
Those with the ntl:120 modem will just require a frimware update that should
be done automatically by NTL.
