Unfortunately (speaking from experience) it's a normal event at this time of
year in Nottingham, where NTL sign up all the students they can & don't
bother uplifting their network capacity to cope.
Hint when you do eventually get in, do not turn your modem off under any
circumstance or else you may be back in the same old boat again...
